Here's what a couple of CCTA enthusiasts had to say about the CD series:

Now that I've had a chance to play through your wonderful Slav CD, I wanted to thank you for putting so much care into it. You did such a superb job in every way that I gave you perfect tens across the board!  I just wish there were more such CDs available. The value, when properly done, as you did here, is so much better than for any other medium. A video only has a fraction of the content. Books not only have far fewer games, but the CD format allows one to easily add in more games, which is really helpful for building one's repertoire. It is also much more convenient to play through the lines on the screen, without having to bounce back and forth between text and board. But most of all they don't have a knowledgeable person talking one through everything. Your calm voice was the perfect guide.  I have hundreds of books and quite a few videos, but your CD was the best value I've ever received for chess opening material.  So many times after buying chess products I've regretted it when they haven't measured up to the ads. Your program exceeded all my expectations and made me very happy that I'd bought it. The only remote improvement I could possibly think of would be that some folks might be grateful for a few brief instructions on getting the CD up and running, such as 1)You need Chessbase 2) Once you have it running, click on the CD, etc. But even a newbie like myself had no problem figuring out how to get started.

If the Caro-Kann is one tenth as good, I will be a happy camper. Do you have two of them because there is more material to cover, or do the 2 CK CDs  cover different lines, such as one being for the classical, and another one covering something else like the Nd7 variations? Also, you mentioned you would be working on something for white. If I knew ahead of time what you might be planning, I could start learning that system. Right now my feeling is that I better snatch up anything you do, judging by the quality of the Slav CD! One final question: You mentioned that there were 10,000 Slav games on the disc (wow!) and that one could get even more at the site. I recently bought the Chessbase mega package, which came with over a million games. And I also have a year's subscription to their magazine. Would that cover it, or would there be different Slav games at your site?

Dear Mr Dorobanov

I know you are extremely busy but I felt I had to e-mail you in order to congatulate you on your marvelous CCTA CD's.

By way of background information. I am age 41, have a part elo rating of 2120 married, hence I do not have a great deal of time for chess! However, my wife is very understanding ! I suppose I have some 400 books, 30 videos, magazines etc. So essentially I am a very serious amateur. I am on ICC "Akita" is my handle. My elo at blitz fluctuates between 2000 & just below 2200.

I have never contacted any person before but I felt so enthusiastic about the CD I am currently working on "the Caro-Kann". I feel I have learnt more about this opening than I possibly could from any number of books. I also have the Slav CD and will whole heartedly recommend CCTA to my chess buddies.

Thanks again.
